A haven of peace in the heart of nature
In the heart of the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park, on a 35-hectare site mixing trees, shrubs and various luxuriant and multicolored plants, surrounded by ponds and rivers, our hamlet offers 16 cottages of great comfort.
9 of them are wooden constructions and 7 of traditional construction, with terrace and independent access for the calm and the intimacy of each one.
At 300 meters from the hamlet, a leap into the 16th century awaits you with the former site of the château des Pérusses and its stables (classified as a Monument of France) and the village still marked by the artistic spirit of the time: towers, chatelets, ditches, boulevards, pavilions and stables in the Renaissance style.
It is in this preserved natural and patrimonial environment, and to harmonise our practices and those of the tourists that we set up an environmental approach within the framework of the Ecolabel.
Our environmental approach is based on:
- Prevention of waste production: sorting, collection and recovery, particularly on site with collective composting of bio-waste.
- Controlling energy consumption and developing renewable energies.
- An environmentally responsible purchasing policy.
- The search for partnerships with local producers and service providers.
- Controlling water consumption.
- Raising environmental awareness.
- Partnerships with local stakeholders offering eco-responsible activities.
And more recently, in partnership with neighbouring sites in the limousin Châtaigneraie, we have embarked on a process of adapted tourism aimed at creating a destination capable of welcoming all disabled visitors. Similarly, our commitment to the energy and ecological transition continues with the Périgord Limousin Natural Park in the framework of the European charter for sustainable tourism and the Valeur Parc label.
